Our school council consists of two children from each year group.  They were elected by their peers after presenting their own manifesto. 

Throughout the year

School council meet each week to discuss any issues and concerns that have been raised that week (if there are any) and to plan for upcoming events.  Children introduced a suggestions box and have introduced some of these ideas in school and shared their thoughts with Mrs Williams.

This year we have had a visit from Madam Mayor Councillor Rukhsana Ismail.  Children shared with her what they have done in school and were given the opportunity to ask questions.

   

   

School council act as WOW ambassadors for 'Walk to School'.  They have been involved in setting this up in school and promoting it with their peers.  We walked the route from the library (our 'park and stride' parking location) to school to see how long it took – we were joined by our 'Walk to school' project coordinator.

We are proud to be in third place in the Living streets 'Walk to school' leader board.
