We had a wonderful day celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. Our children wore red, white and blue outfits and many made crowns at home for our crown competition. We had a special assembly in the afternoon where we gave out OBEs and MBEs as awards for service at St Joseph's School and we also gave one special pupil a Knighthood award. We also held a tea party where parents were invited to join us on the school field. We had special cakes, biscuits and juice, had a 'Queen quiz' and sang a Jubilee song. It was such a wonderful occasion with lots of special memories made.

Athlete Visit June 2022

On the 7th June, we were very lucky to have a visit from Sean Gaffney, an Invictus Competitor. Sean was involved in a freak accident in 1999 which resulted in a leg amputation. Through grit and resilience, Sean has since competed in many competitions including the Commonwealth Games.

On his visit to school, Sean taught us an athletic circuit which all children (and staff) enjoyed taking part in! Our friends and family sponsored us to take part. All the money raised will help go towards sports equipment for our school.

Sean's motto is: Be good today, be better tomorrow!

He was true inspiration!
