Spring 2 Knowledge Organsiser

Spring 1

Our topic this half term is "Once upon a time", where we will be reading familiar texts and traditional tales within our drawing club and finding out more about these stories. The texts we will be focusing on include:

We always follow the children's interests therefore alongside our topic, we have general themes to keep the children hooked in their learning.

Our g eneral themes this half term include:

- Animals around the world

- Africa and Antarctica (Cold and hot climates)

- Seasonal change (Winter)

Spring 1

This week in drawing club our story is " The Three Little Pigs". We read the story together and then looked at the characters, the setting, and learnt new vocabulary such as "frightened" and "gobbled". We used puppets to act out the story and built new houses for the pigs that the wolf had blown down.

In Maths, we practised subitising (which means to know how many there are, without counting) up to 5 and enjoyed learning new ways to do this with our friends.
